Pre-owned Rolex Datejust ref 116234 (2006 – 2007) is a sportier expression of the traditionally dressy Datejust. It still holds fast to the collection’s enduring design codes via a 36mm waterproof Oyster case surrounded by a gold fluted bezel, a jump date at the 3-hour marker, and a self-winding movement. However, instead of older-style indices, this modern masterpiece now sports Super-LumiNova baton hour markers and a striking red and black roulette date wheel. While also a fixture of the Datejust, the three-link Oyster bracelet is inherently sportier than the 5-piece link Jubilee. This design set will appeal to collectors in the market for a famous Datejust but with a slightly more casual aesthetic.
