Description: Rolex Date 1505
Pre-owned Rolex Date ref 1505 (1972) sports many distinctive design elements, including the discontinued engine-turned bezel and door stop dial. While most Date watches feature a smooth or fluted bezel, ref. 1505 is surrounded by a unique machined bezel with alternating smooth and fluted sections. Furthermore, the time is displayed via square hour markers that somewhat resemble doorstops instead of the classic stick indices. These design elements are what make the vintage Rolex 1505 unique and collection-worthy. At the same time, this watch has all the usual Rolex dress watch features, such as a waterproof screw-down crown, an acrylic crystal over the dial, a self-winding mechanical movement with an automatically changing date display, and a 5-link Jubilee bracelet.
